BC Object Registry tracks the object ID ranges your Business Central apps use, and issues new collision-free ranges, from the portal, from Business Central, from VS Code or CI, or from a Copilot Studio agent.
Get started
- Sign in with your work email. People on the same company domain share one workspace.
- Identify your Business Central tenant (paste its Tenant ID or a Business Central URL). Partners add one tenant per customer.
- Import your existing registry (your GitHub
registry.jsonorObjectRegistry.md,app.jsonfiles, or CSV), or add apps one at a time. - Issue a range when you start a new app: pick the size, choose where it will be deployed, and copy the
idRangesintoapp.json.
Key ideas
- Collisions are per tenant. Ranges are checked across every PTE app in a tenant, whichever environments they're in. AppSource ranges are partner-wide.
- Overlaps are flagged, never silently fixed.
- Export any time, including if a subscription lapses.
